The ubiquitous nature of providing and receiving feedback in our present society has lost its fundamental purpose of improving self, and others. Have we nurtured our young ones to be resilient to be reciprocated with feed forward? Words unspoken, often hidden and masked behind anonymity have turned them into an artefact – viewed, mesmerised, appreciated and locked.

A child goes through a rite of passage in his adolescent years, innocently being tainted by what society perceives. Failure - if you think it, and it you will become. It is then, the manifestation of one’s belief, willpower and positive thinking that will cure a tainted self. Reflect.
This installation is a critical response to Edgar Talusan Fernandez’s Kinoput, part of @nationalgallerysingapore collections.
Installation was presented at the National Gallery Singapore

RE:membrance - a multisensory and multidisciplinary work is an adaptation of Liu Kang’s Life by the River (1975). A collaboration with 8thchapters
A life by the river as it used to speak,
Villagers interact
Why is it so homely?
Move in the name of change,
Resistance, Reconsider
Where are my neighbours?
Children echo in a place of play,
We socialise
Why the deafening silence?
The spaces below remain void,
Till this day
What is left for us to recollect?
Reconcile - to a Life by the River
